Staying safe on Numista

I was going to swap with a user that I had swapped with before, but He had to cancel due to a house robbery.

Does anybody have any tips on how to keep yourself safe from stuff like this?

Here in Spain  you can subscribe a mail box in the mail office for 50€ a year more o less.

This is very nice when you swap valuable coins as you never give your house adresse.

Never thought of this possibility.

I always assume everyone here is a passionate collector looking to discuss & swap.

Some are just passionate collectors of other people's stuff.

Other than living in a society were break-ins and thievery is less common or living in a fortress, you can't do much more then using common sense. Don't flaunt your wealth, keep knowledge of your hobby to as few people as necessary, lock your doors an windows when you are away?

Try accepting the coins at your work place/office address.
