Hello,

When I requested to move this banknote from Exonumia to paper Exonumia the referee partly aproved it.

Resulta the composition and shape is shown:

But not on the edition:

Here the request:

As I have no clue to know what was approved or not I guess what wasn't approved was the composition and shape.

About these differences, really composition and shapes are empty (unknown) but (I suppose!) the system display

  • Composition=(Paper)
  • Shape=Rectangular

by default when are empty in paper items.

----

Compositions and shapes of banknotes and exonumia are shared (have same identifier in database, according with source code), so this was not the problem.

Perhaps was an error of the referee? Or an error in the process of move banknotes to exonumia? It happens in other similar cases?

I do not understand something in your request. Have an empty given value for composition and shape:

Here the request:

  • If these was emptied by you, then the result is according to your request,
  • but if these was emptied for the system, an error was happen when you sent the request.

The solution for this item is send other request with the values corrected, but is need know if this was cause of a system error and fix.

EDIT: I am sorry, perhaps the problem was other… What was the original type of this item, before move?

Wanted & swap list (euro coins & world coins, exonumia and banknotes circulated) https://goo.gl/AQjfKp - I have euro & world CC coins for swap.

My personal guess is that Exonumia and paper Exonumia have 2 different field for composition.

When you move from one category to the other, the system automatically delete the value to adapt to the new category.

But by partially accepted the request the referee trigger the system to a non expected behavior, because you have now a paper Exonumia with data of a coin Exonumia, it’s why you can see it but when you edit it you can only access to paper exonumia fields so you can not correct it.

That’s just my 2 cents.

Ok, this was the problem. When move exonumia “coin” to exonumia “paper” the composition and shape are different and are emptied.

Yes but the process should be behind the scene to avoid that a referee change it. In fact I understand why he did that but it messed up the database. And there is maybe more cases.

That's the correct explanation. I don't really have a solution for the moment.

Can you track Paper Exonumia and Banknotes with composition and shape of coins, and the other way around?

Also a good point will be to mention this process in the guideline.
