I did my first appeal and I see an error in status data.

This is a request “Partly validated”

And this is a request after appeal

When I appeal,

  • the status is: Appeal by REFEREE on DATE_OF_MY_APPEAL (bug)
the correct is: Appeal by ME on DATE_OF_MY_APPEAL
  • the comment written by the referee when change status to “Partly validated” is show again (ok) but now must be mark “comment by REFEREE before your appeal”.

Beyond these “bugs”, perhaps dates, status and comments of user and referee can be displayed in a table similar to

Wanted & swap list (euro coins & world coins, exonumia and banknotes circulated) https://goo.gl/AQjfKp - I have euro & world CC coins for swap.

Related to this https://fr.numista.com/forum/topic140601.html#p1133749 the date displayed in each request of the list of requests could be the date of the last status of the request (now the date displayed is the date of creation of the request).

This existed before me and is not straightforward or obvious - must be reviewed by @Xavier before I can do something.

I agree a proper history of statuses and messages is needed, especially when several referees/admins are involved and when there are back and forth.

It's not straightforward to implement, we'll do that in the future.

Ok. Can this be fixed now or better wait to modify all?

En rajoutant un point rouge devant l'intervention du référent cela permettrait déjà un tri sur celles-ci.

Elles disparaitraient comme les autres après plus de trente jours.

By adding a red dot in front of the intervention of the referee this would already allow sorting on these.
They would disappear like the others after more than thirty days.

I saw that some of this was done or is being done. 🙃

I also saw it. I had an old creation request in a tab open that had many edits with multiple comments, you always have to enter something in the source field. But after the update only the first comment/source remains there is also a line break html code in it now.

Is this only the case for older request and new creation request that get edited get simply an additional line with the date of the edit?

As an example.

Before:

Souce catalog so and so …(initial comment 01.01.1900)
fixed error …(1nd edit 02.01.1900)
new picture added …(2nd edit 04.01.1900)

After:

Time - User - Status - Comment

01.01.1900 - JonDoe - Pending - Souce catalog so and so [line break code]
06.01.1900 - Jane Doe - Modifications requested - …

Yes this is being done. :) It needs some final polishing.

Old requests, made before the change (and potentially before polishing) were migrated to the new system, however, not all data is availlable. New requests will have all data properly listed in its history.

The chronology of operations is not respected.

She is in order with STATUS /COMMENT

PENDING / “CCIP”

REFUSED / “Merci. Pourquoi remplaçons-nous cette photo ?”

APPEAL / "Elles ne sont pas remplacées, elles conservent la source

elles sont seulement recadrées au plus près des bords" with photos

and in the list of requests the date of the request is frozen, it does not follow the interventions, it risks disappearing faster than its processing, set at 7 days by Numista

Hello,

We implement a change yesterday so that catalogue modification requests now show a proper history. This will facilitate understanding requests, especially when they have multiple steps (appeals, modifications requested).

It's also now possible for referees to add a comment to a request (asking question to the contributor will come later) and some appeals can be reassigned by the catalogue admin to referees.

Sorry we had some bugs in yesterday's release. They have been fixed this morning and new requests should be fine.

The requests made before the release have been migrated to the new history format. However, since some information was not stored before, the history for these older requests may contain some inaccuracies, especially in case of appeal as mentioned by CREPOSUC.

I do not know whether to suggest this here or in a new topic:

I saw the referees can see the submitted and the current values. See https://en.numista.com/forum/topic144651.html#p1157645

But we, the normal users, only only see the submitted value.

I think see also the current value will be useful (this way we can catch errors in our request).

Update : “Photo got replaced in the meantime.”

Personal comment:
You can check by zooming that the content of the photo has not changed
The four sides of the photo have only been trimmed to fit the edges of the coin
The image size has become smaller: 1470 X 1422 instead of the original 1536 X 2048, it remains beyond the minimum acceptable 270X270
I'll let you discover why the coin now seems bigger to you
N.B.: Simply enlarging the size of a black and white image that is too small does not make it in color; this would require another manipulation which could be contested by the author of the photo.
On the other hand, reducing the size of a bad photo below 270X270 would declare it too small in order to request its replacement.
end of comment, TKS
