I'm sitting with the Standard Catalog of World Paper Money and Banknote.ws and fell over two notes from Territory of Papua.

 

How should that be? It was from when Papua was under Australian administration.

 

Issued by Bank of New South Wales.

Ruler was in 1910 either Edward VII and George V.

A sub-issuer within Papua New Guinea seems the obvious option.

Former Numista referee for banknotes from Ireland, Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales and Saint Helena.
