I was hoping that the name of the 200,000th member would be announced with great fanfare and they would receive a Numista token as a welcome gift.

Why?

Always nice to celebrate a landmark.

Active members or just “new” member 200.000, while (x members) have left numista?

For activity I only found two official data points that are not really comparable.

If growth would have been linear and decoupled from the season, the numbers for today would be 20400 log-ins for the last 90 days.

The number of subscribed members is not an important metric for me. Many regular visitors don't have an account, while some one-time visitors created an account and never came back.

Here are some fresh numbers:

• 23 100 members logged into their account in the last 90 days.
• 1 130 000 unique visitors accessed Numista in March 2023.

1,130,000 is a big number. Excellent.

The number of “members” displayed is indicative
each entry bears a serial number. At this precise time it bears the number 343460
in this quantity there may be holes and undesirables (spam, opportunism, for verification tests etc…),
we can also determine their motivations, which amounts to distinguishing several kinds of members
the same in the number of connections
