I have a couple of banknotes from Provisional Government of the Republic of China and saw most of the Japanese puppets states in China miss ruling Authority.
May I suggest, for the provisonal govement and the succesor the reformed govemnet and the other Japanese controlled Chinese areas. They should work for both banknotes and coins, but I only have banknotes from these, so that's what I prioritised:
Amoy Island:
Japanese occupation (1938-1945)
Provisional Goverment:
Provisional Goverment of the Republic of Japan (1937-1940)
Reorganized National Government of the Republic of China OR Wang Jingwei regime (1940-1945)
Reformed goverment:
Reformed Government of the Republic of China OR Second Sino-Japanese war (1938-1940)
Reorganized National Government of the Republic of China OR Wang Jingwei regime (1940-1945)
East Hebei:
East Hebei Autonomous Government (1935-1938)
Meng Chiang (/Meng Jiang?):
Puppet state of the Empire of Japan (1939-1940)
Autonomous region of the Reorganized National Government of the Republic of China (1940-1945)
