Looking for help to ID this coin

Found this coin in a cardboard holder. No information about it.  Can anyone please provide some context?

Best guess at composition. Here is a reorientation of one side.  I cant figure out for certain the orientation of the other side so far.

A German zinc pfennig for sure but long gone.

I can't really edit the pictures on my phone,  but if you rotate the reverse you can make out the ‘1’.

Wow … I know someone could pull it together and at least give us a starting point. But, there seems to be a good chance y’all nailed it.  Thank you so much for your knowledge. I can compare and try to confirm!
