We currently have a single currency for Schleswig Holstein, the Thaler (1545-1864). However, it seems clear that there was a reform in 1787 which introduced the Speciesthaler (Speciedaler), divided into 60 Schilling Courant. Following the Danish currency reform of 1813, coins denominated in Reichsbank Schilling (equal to the Danish rigsbankskilling, 192 to the Speciesthaler) were issued (starting in 1816) before a final issue of Dreiling and Sechsling in 1850-1851. From the face values we have pre-1787, it's clear the earlier Schilling was different (although the precise relationship to the Thaler isn't clear). Can I therefore propose we change the present currency to Thaler (1545-1787) and add a new currency Speciesthaler (1787-1864) for all coins 1787 onwards with the description
4 Dreiling = 2 Sechling = 1 Schilling Courant • 60 Schilling Courant = 1 Speciesthaler (Speciedaler) • 192 Reichsbank Schilling = 1 Speciesthaler (after 1816)
