What can I do with a genuine coin that is unreferenced ? I think it's a mule [Risolto]

One collector write to me about a magnetic coin of 1992 that is supposed to be issued on 1998-1999.

I didn't find any information on the web.

Should I reference it as a mule ?

I am writing to you as you are the referee for Falkland Islands.
I have a coin in my possesion that is not on your list and I also cannot find it on Google.
Maybe it's a previously unknown variant.
The coin in question is a magnetic 1 Penny, year 1992.

I attatch these images to prove that the coin is real and magnetic (I am confident that this isn't a fake!)

It wouldn't be a mule.  The dies used were the correct pair for 1992.  If it's real, then it would be a wrong planchet mint error and could go in comments but not a separate coin page or year line.

My guess is some 1992 UK One Penny planchets got mixed in the batch.

The 1992 coins were in bronze. It is unlikely that a copper plated steel planchet slipped into production on 1992 🤪
So it might be a 1992 matrix used by mistake on 1998, without removing these abnormal coins afterwards ...

Not really.  In fact quite probable.  There were 253,867,000 copper plated steel planchets running around the Royal Mint in Llantrisant in 1992 the exact diameter, weight and appearance as the bronze planchets the Royal Mint in Llantrisant was using to make the Falkland Islands 1992 pennies.  

Not inconceivable that one or two or ten or a hundred copper plated steel planchets fall on the floor, picked up and tossed in the wrong basket.
