Haha, yes that is exactly what I meant. I could not have put it better myself. After all isn't that what we do on Numista?: get rid of unwanted small round things :D
I came away from last week's coin show with about 20 obsolete U.S. bus and rail tokens. Mostly from major cities like Seattle, Washington, New York, Boston, Newark, Buffalo, Chicago and others.... Transportation tokens are as numerous and varied as coins are.. I'm afraid I am becoming addicted to collecting them..
I had previously listed several that I own to the catalog, including some NYC subway tokens, under the Tokens (U..S. transportation) category... And soon I will add the ones I recently acquired... I know people have them in their possessions so hopefully if they can find it listed here they can offer it for swap...
In case anyone is wondering how to identify their tokens: there are numerous online references and even catalogs like the "Atwood-Coffee Catalogue of United States and Canadian Transportation Tokens".
Cita: DutchgalegoTokens??? I do have some kilos to get rid of.
The deal is: 1 of your coins for 3 tokens.
Let me know if interested.
That sounds like an interesting offer... Assuming that you indeed have vintage transportation tokens, and preferable from North America.. Then YES I would be interested.. I would like to learn more about what you have..

My goodness, that's an enormous task to perform.
Anyhow, I gonna try to identificate some and will let you know that as soon as possible.
Dutchgalego,
It actually should not be so difficult as most vintage U.S. Transportation tokens (40 years old or more), will be very small exactly 16mm. And will usually have a letter or initials cut out designating what city they were used in.
Newer tokens will be larger, 20mm or greater. And will have a design representing their intended use and city.

I did sold the bunch of tokens I had for 20 euro. Before that I did took a quick look, but couldn't find the tokens that you're searching for. I found 2 Russian (Moscow and St. Petersburg) metro tokens.
May you want to have them, please just let me know.

At this moment I am only interested in collecting U.S. transportation tokens, I perhaps may even consider some from other parts of North America at most...
Sorry, but thank you anyway.

Hi Hal,
You may not remember me but we met on Yahoo groups "Coins Club" once, and attempted a trade but could not come to a deal. Have a look at my swap list and see if there is anything that interest you in exchange for your tokens. If so then you can message me.
Thanks
Harry
