Hello everyone. I collect Canadian coins and notes so I'm looking for some help identifying this note I picked up at a local show. I couldn't find it within the pages of Numista and from what I was able to research is that in Germany, after World War II, when not enough state-produced money was available from the central bank, many German districts made their own currency aka “NotGeld”. This one looks like it came from the Cleve district located North of Cologne and looking at Google Translates attempt, it could only be used within this district and for only 4 weeks after a certain given date.
The note is 140cm x 83cm and no noticeable watermark.
How close am I? Does anyone have more information to add?
Thanks, Angus
