Hi everyone!
As you may already know, we released recently the powerful feature to attach marks to yearlines; marks can be letters or symbols, and often identify a mintmaster, but can also represent other information like alloy, engraver, etc.
There are a huge amount of cleaning to do on our database to make the best of this feature!
Let's take an example about it:
this coin was appearing like this :

The letters were wrongly put in the “mint letter” field, which does not allow a proper display of their meaning. It happend also that those letters are also copied in the mint section, like if they were a mintmark. Using this feature will allow you to also remove this inaccurate information 😀
When you spot such situation, here what you can go in the edit form:

It takes a little bit of time, but it is so satisfying in the end ^^
And here the result once it's finished:

This way users have way more information than before about the coin!
Important: if a mint is set for the entry, you can only chose amongst marks attached to this mint; if you can't find your mark in the list, it can mean two things:
- the mark is missing in our database (please request its creation)
- the mark is attached to another mint: please attach first the correct mint to the entry. You can see all marks attached to a mint in the mint page directly, like here:

Another example with actual marks and not letters:

I hope I gave you the desire to try the feature and help Numista continue to be the best collaborative numismatics website ^^
