100 Dinara 1941 Verificato Replacement Note

Pubblicazioni di 4 • visto 83 volte

Hello,

I bought an ultra rare note for so cheap and I needed a valuation. The note in question is 100 Dinara 1941 (1929) Verificato (stamped by the Italian authorities in Montenegro, watermark King Alexander). The note itself, in my condition (XF) is worth 10€, but the thing it makes it so rare is that it's a replacement note, with the serial number starting with X (cyrillic H). Does anyone know the estimated value?

Best regards

I can’t find any information on a replacement note existing anywhere. PMG even has only P#R13a and b listed. For these reasons, I would only value this note as P#R13b: USD$11. If it is an incredibly rare prefix, perhaps it would be worth more but I do not see any reason to value it at a higher value than mentioned.

It would be wise to be very skeptical re: claims of notes being ultra rare on certain platforms (all social media & ebay) since many sellers don't know much about banknotes & tend to make exaggerated claims.  I have bought notes mis-attributed (the note was a “d” version but labelled as a tough “a” or earlier date version), and have seen later Canadian banknotes (like this Modified $2.00) listed/described as a Devil's Face $2.00, & other deceptive practices (including over grading). Replacement notes weren't issued for most countries until the 1950's so I would be very surprised that your note is “very rare.”
