We currently list the Bank of England silver tokens in their own little currency, “Bank of England tokens (1804-1816)”. Now that we can add the issuing entity to these coins, can I suggest that we do so and move them to the main UK currency, “Pound sterling (1158-1970)”?

Technically it is right thing to do. We have to give it a thought - is it something desiderable? UK currency will get harder to navigate.

I'm not sure what you mean by hard to navigate. We have a similar situation with the bank tokens in Denmark and that seems perfectly straight forward. A much thornier issue is what we do with the private tokens. They weren't issued as a separate currency either but it certainly would be difficult to find things if they were incorporated into the main listing. My suggestion would be to list them as local issues grouped by county, but that's a discussion for another day.

Oh, I thought this was about those countless private issues, there is just few of those. So no real problem with navigation here.

Could “Bank of England” please be added as an issuing entity for the UK? Then we can at least apply that and see what the referee thinks.

Added that possibility to attach it to UK pieces. This can be closed, feel free to request the move, lets see what referee thinks.

The Bank of England has now been added as the issuing entity. Rick, if you're reading this, can you let us know what you think, as referee, about moving these bank tokens to the main currency?

I guess I'm just going to have to request the move and see what happens.
