Hello my friends,
first of all, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year for all of you ;) I hope you are having wonderful days ;)
Here I am with another suggestion, I would be glad to hear the people who manage Numista saying something at last! haha ;)
I will start explaining my suggestion with an example of something which really happened, and is what happened to me last Sunday:
I was in Sevilla, wonderful city for anyone of you who hasn´t been there yet.. you have to visit it! ;) for some days with my family.
As it was Sunday, the day when the coins, stamps and notes market takes place, I went there and started to take a look at some coins. When you do this, the first thing you want to know is if you already have that coin (note or whatever) or not, or if it is coming to you in a swap you have already confirmed, in order to decide if you buy it or not, so I opened Numista on my phone and started to check the coins I was considering to buy.
In these days, I have now 7 swaps open at the same time, so it was not possible for me to check all these swaps for all the coins I had in my hands. That would have taken a lot of time and, in these times, it is really cold ;) So, the only thing I could do is going to “My coins” and see if I already had those coins and pray that I was not buying a coin I had already asked for in one of those swaps.
When I came back to Madrid last wednesday, I had in my mailbox the envelope of my dear friend Fabrizio (Ramons78). We had closed a swap which included many many coins before I travelled, and there it was.. I was so happy! but the thing is that, among those coins Fabrizio sent me, there was one of the two I had already bought in Seville. This was not a big issue as, even though I paid 1€ for that coin, I only bought 2 coins in Seville and I think the other is not in the other swaps I have now open (but I have to check! ;) )
But the thing is that it is not nice to go to local markets of coins and notes without knowing if you are going to buy something you already asked someone in Numista or not and, as it happens to the panel swap (I don´t understand why some information, like values or the symbol which says you already have that coin, are not shown there, where it makes sense), I don´t either understand why that information (the symbol of the blue envelope) is not shown in the “Coins” file section when you click on that coin.
Yes, I know you can write public or private comments on that coin but the swap with Ramons78 was of 202 coins. Not easy ;)
So that´s my suggestion. I hope you like it and, if you do, please give your upvote!
Many hugs from Spain and again, Happy 2024!!
;)
