3,373 new users joined Numista in December 2023, increasing the total member tally by 1.5%. This is the highest monthly increase in Numista's history, breaking the record set last August.
This December's new members added 94,000 coins into their collections. 23% of December's new users appear to be active and 10% are not publicly visible.
3,300 of December's new members selected a nation. 550 are American, 492 are South African, 340 are French, 150 are Indian, 148 are British, 143 are Filipino, 131 are Canadian, and 123 are Spanish. 136 nations are represented this month, and 81 of them have added at least one coin to their collections.
There were notable surges in memberships from Angola, Azerbaijan, Cuba, El Salvador, Ethiopia, Italy, Kyrgyzstan, Namibia, Nigeria, South Africa, Spain and Syria.
South Africa added more members in December 2023 than in the previous six months combined!
Afghanistan, American Samoa, Bahrain, Belarus, Benin, British Indian Ocean Territory, Cambodia, Cameroon, Congo, Curacao, Eswatini, Grenada, Guadeloupe, Haiti, Honduras, Iran, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Libya, Madagascar, Martinique, Monaco, Montenegro, Nicaragua, Oman, Papua New Guinea, Paraguay, Puerto Rico, Qatar, San Marino, Senegal, Uzbekistan and Yemen each gained one new member.
Mexico passed Russia for 18th rank.
Of the top 30 nations, South Africa grew the fastest in December (11.7% increase), while Russia grew the slowest (0.7%). The USA grew by 1.3% and France grew by 1.1%.
