In fact, the first banknotes in denominations of Peseta were issued in 1874 (when the Peseta was introduced in 1868) and until 1873 banknotes were issued in denominations of Reales de Vellón, Pesos Fuertes and Escudos. Regarding the issue of the Bank of Barcelona, ​​taking into account that there have already been previous issues in the Peso Fuerte denomination, that is why I have thought it better to leave it in this Real period and not in the Escudos one, where I think it would be better to leave only banknotes in this denomination.

In relation to the possibility of changing the dates of the different monetary units to match the banknotes, I believe that it should be kept as it is since they are the official dates of the entry into force of each monetary unit, but if we want to modify some date to match the dates of the banknotes, the Real and Escudos period should be extended until 1873, leaving the beginning of both as it is, that is: 

Real (1848-1873) instead (1848-1864)

Escudo (1864-1873) instead (1864-1868)

Peseta (1868-2001)
