Maybe one more proposal. How about a structured database of approvals to use pictures from persons, publishing pictures on various web sites like eBay or similar? As I have found out it is not enough to receive the permission from such site, but the permission is required by the author him-her-self.
Further more, instead of adding users or persons name below picture (in text), it would be more prudent to add link to the picture-use-permissions-database entry. This way it may be easier to track the source, hand input of the name can be more prone to mistakes.
I am mostly referring to recent acknowledgment with aukcije.hr, from where well over 500 new Numista pages were already added. And much more coming up.
The whole thing may also show some need for further policy usage upgrades.
