Notifying Members of a Change in Variants

I know that we already have a changelog somewhere here, but it would be useful, for both people updating variants and people who own the variants of a note, if the owners of a note could be notified when a variant, or set of variants has a significant enough change that could affect their collection status and what note their piece is listed under. Perhaps it could be a tickbox that a referee could select when verifying the note’s updates.

Recently, the 1905-1912 series of Russian Empire money has been updated to show the signatures and an increased number of variants, particularly for the notes signed by Manager I. P. Shipov. If it were the case that members who own these notes could have been notified of these variant updates, these notes would have a more accurate representation of the percentage of members who own each variant. It would also allow people to know that they might need to make a change to their collection to keep it up to date.
