Idea for Numista Forum

In [moderated], there was actually a good poiny that I wanted to raise, but the thread was locked.

I can understand you want more communication… I think we all already spent hours every week on the forum, not letting any message unanswered, and it's without counting all the DM and multiple requests we handle every day. So yes, communication may be better, but please remind we are a handful of people only. And a forum as a communication tool has big flaws, as it's not a push tool, so every member has to proactively connect and check announces to be aware or react.

 

Any idea to improve here are welcome :-)

An idea for this would be that the Numista team had a separate Forum where only they can post, but everyone can see and comment. Here short notice messages could be posted as information of changes, updates, etc. Like a Numista Team Informs section. It's easy that information is drowning and disappearing in the main forum, so this could be a goid way to make it more visible.

What do you think?

A forum for the Numista team and seen all users in read only mode… I do not see the sense.😲 (maybe I did not understand it)

If we want see the changes made on the website, we have this forum (Numista website) and the list of changes https://en.numista.com/release_notes.php (it can always be improved).

If a thing is not published here it will be because is not ready.

On the other hand, I published here before suggestions or bugs related to the translation pages and a member suggested posting that on a private forum (and it was a good idea): https://en.numista.com/forum/topic140766.html

It's just to make it even more visible. In the forums a lot of people write all the time, so it's difficult to notice if there's anything of importance. By separating these posts to a separate section where noone can add new posts, it'll be much easier to spot new messafes of importance.

Interesting idea. The admin team makes many changes every day. What kind of changes should be better announced in your opinion?

Perhaps a new type of ticket: suggestion and bug (for normal members) and, the new, “Numista changes” (created only by the Numista team).
