Who to make a question about the section "Contribute" on a banknote from Russia?

Hello, friends!

In order to help Numista,  I have made some modifications and uploaded some files in the Exonumia section and some others, but I would like to help with all the different fields that Numista is asking me for in the “Contribute” section, and one of them has to do with a Russian banknote where Numista says “small pictures”.

I would like to talk to someone but I don´t know who I should write. I don´t know if there is someone in charge of the “contribute” section or someone in charge of the russian banknotes, but none of their names is shown anywhere (maybe this should happen ;) ).

I need to contact someone because I am not really sure about what Numista is asking for there and I don´t know if the pictures of my note would be better than the ones already included in the file.

Criteria for what is considered small (LINK) is under 360 pixels on at least one axis.

Criteria to accept a replacement of a photo (LINK).

Russia (Banknotes) currently has no referee so it falls to the catalog admin (LINK).

I will formally “reject” this, as it is technically not a request to modify banknote.

Contribute section shows users what could be improved on pages they have in their collection. As for small pictures, Idolenz explained it nicely above.

thank you for your messages.. my question was made because I saw my note was not better than the one shown in the pics of the file already done, but I understood what size was about, so thank you!  ;)

I already added the picture of my note to the file as another “model” and it was already validated, so perfect ;)

But now I have another in question: I can see that, if you don´t modify the main pictures of the item or some information on its file, the item still appears in the section “Contribute”, as the russian banknote still appeasrs in my section Contribute, when I have nothing else to do about it. Maybe this is a little mistake of the website, is it possible to me deleted?

Those request to contribute will always show up as long as you have the item in your collection or somebody else steps up to improve the pictures.  There is no way to turn it off.

But I mean: my pictures were included in the file but not as “main pictures”.. so there is nothing else I can do about this item to contribute!

The “system” doesn't care if you tried. It only cares that it needs a bigger picture and you have that banknote in your collection.  I have some myself. I ignore them.  Banknote Museum pictures are always small.  One thing you can do is to use the pictures of one of the auctions on that page to replace the picture already there. Katz Auction is an approved source for pictures.

Well, I know system does not think but people do! and the system is made by people who do think or at least they must do!  ;)

We are not here to describe how the website works but to make it better. I know it is a small issue but I have some other items in the “Contribute” section in the same situation and it can create confusion later or make me think in the future and there is still something I have to do about that item. If I took my time to make pictures of my note and upload them, and they have been added to the file, then my work on that item is over.

I repeat again, it is a small issue, it doesn´t matter anyway. I will try to do what rsirian suggests there ;)

well, anyway, as I said, it is a small issue, haha, but it happens with some other coins where I don´t have anything else to do and if I get new items where I have some work to do, I will not know where I have to and where I don´t, haha. I don´t know if I am explaining myself.. ;)

Haha, I know… but it´s not doing the right thing because I had to look for pics in other websites to make these demands disappear, hehe ;)
