I need help identify these 2 coins. There so many diferent types to choose from.

I'm not sure where you are finding multiple options. Look at N#3719

First one looks to be 1878C (no mint mark).  

The second one looks to be 1888 C incuse.

How can there be no mintmark and it still has one in the mintmark field? Also English wording in a shared language field is a no-no.

I thought the same thing.  I guess that was how they thought identifying Calcutta mint was done.
