3,643 new users joined Numista in February 2024, increasing the total member tally by 1.5%. This is the second-highest monthly increase in Numista's history.
This February's new members added 170,000 coins into their collections, including an Indonesian with 65,000 coins and a Swede with 11,000. 21% of February's new users appear to be active and 9% are not publicly visible.
3,556 of February's new members selected a nation. 573 are American, 331 are French, 274 are Indian, 265 are South African, 183 are Polish, and 158 are British. 141 nations are represented this month, and 79 of them have added at least one coin to their collections.
There were notable surges in memberships from Argentina, Armenia, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Guinea, Honduras, Hungary, India, Japan, Namibia, Poland, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Vietnam and Western Sahara.
The surges from Armenia, Poland and Sri Lanka were suspiciously large. The user names fit an unusual pattern and were all added within a few days, February 7th to 9th.
Andorra, Antigua & Barbuda, Barbados, Benin, Brunei, Burkina Faso, Cambodia, Cape Verde, Congo, Curacao, Estonia, Eswatini, Gabon, Iceland, Ivory Coast, Jamaica, Kazakhstan, Libya, Maldives, Malta, Mauritania, Mauritius, Moldova, Monaco, New Caledonia, Reunion, Senegal, Suriname and the U.S. Virgin Islands each gained one new member.
Poland passed the Netherlands for 18th rank.
Of the top 30 nations, Poland grew the fastest in February (9.9% increase), while Switzerland grew the slowest (0.84%). The USA grew by 1.3% and France grew by 1.0%.
