Cannot find any information about the note.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Is this real? I did a search on the name and it came up with a very difference name. I could be wrong.
Came in old big china banknote collection with couples of really good notes - like 1938 Chefoo city currency (unlisted in Pick ) and
Chefoo Chamber of Commerce Shantung 1938 1 cent, 1937 P- 113 Chitung bank, 1923 Provincial Bank of Honan P# S1682b 50 Copper Coins and a lot of others not bad notes.
Some “hell bank notes from 1960s, so it can be ”fantasy note".
This is one I cannot identify.
Forget to mention - look like note was washed long time ago, not unc note.
Post it in papermonyforom . After all RSP, my conclusion:
Most reply really support my suspicion that note is really novelette item . I did not bring it in before to get more responders .
Now my reason for note being novelette item:
1. Print quality.
Majority of puppet bank notes have at list average quality of printing. Compare this one (note the line in first macro):
2. I spend about 2 years (in and out of cause) monitoring major auctions and try to find any similar notes
Nothing came in.
The last one - I may be wrong , but quality of note close to Philippines WWII "gorilla" money, but I newer head about something similar in China/Japan area.
Thanks again to all community for help!
Hell banknote 10 Yuan. All I couldread. No more info.
This is joss paper money, a traditional Chinese offering used in ancestral worship. Chinese people burn it for deceased ancestors and believe they can use it in the afterlife.
