Could the letters below be searchable with "th"?

Ðð and this with Dd as well

Þþ and this with Pp as well

And the other way as well.

If it's already possible, it's not working in the artist searche, where I tried, looking for Jón Þorleifsson, but worked with Jón Thorleifsson. He is called Jón Þorleifsson in my Siegs book, but everywhere else it's with Th, so could be nice with both searchable.

Thanks regardless 😁

Hello,

it is not currently possible for a letter to be searchable by multiple characters.

Ðð was already searchable by “d”. Þþ was not yet added, what option out of those two would you choose?

Best regards,

Jarek

Anyway, that's not really important!

Why wouldn't it be important? We incorporated numerous special characters that are now searchable by “standard” latin characters.

I'm Danish, and our 3 special letters in the alphabet Å, Æ, Ø can be circumvented with AA, AE and OE. I have lived 60 years with my name officially with an OE since no other country knows the ø. Of course, you can also use the German Umlaut, to come to the same result, but that works only in Germany and Austria.

Hi Jarcek

I think I'm not understanding you here..?

I would like Ðð to besearchable by “d"

And Þþ to be searcahable by “p”, if possible, since they're easily confused in modern writting.

So I would like both options..?

You wanted them to be searchable by "th" as well. Sadly that is not possible.

Ðð will be either searchable by “d” or by “th”, not both. Same for Þþ.

Oh, now I get it!

Well, that's a hard question. I'll probably prefer the letter and not the “sound” of "th", since most people will see the name more than hear the name… At least in numismatic..? 🤔

Ok, I will keep it for “d” and "p" then.

Ðð should be either Dd (after how it looks).

Þþ should be Th (after its sound).

Þ (thorn) has nothing to do with P, so kt really makes no sense to make þ searchable by p.

Þþ should be Th (after its sound).

Agree. It has been adjusted. It may take up to 10 days for all results to appear.
