Accelerating swaps

Just a thought. Probably most of Numista members have added their place of residence. At least my self, I like swapping with other members directly, when they or me are being tourists and visiting the place of residence of one (had some such swaps already). If Numista could facilitate a search parameter of this kind (searching for willing collectors in certain city), this could additionally accelerate postage free swaps. And some beer time chats too!

With increasing postage costs and choking customs, I think this idea should be brought to existance. 

On one of the sites I am a member of (artists/models) there's a possibility of posting one's travel plans, so that any interested party can contact you for colaboration. 

Likewise, we might have something similar here. If, for instance, I plan a travel to London, London based collectors (who wish to be informed) get a notification and may plan a swap with me or with ppl from my vicinity whose coins I might bring along. 

No postage, no customs and a friendly talk over a beer might be a nice addition.

destination: London

travelling member: member A

date: May 15-25, 2024

wish to send: member B, member C

wish to swap at destination: member D

• Members in a defined radius from the travelling member, as well as members at destination, receive notification of his travel plans.
• Once members join the plan, they can contact each other and conduct swaps.
• Travelling member takes the coins and brings them to destination members and in return receives coins to bring back upon his return. 

Destination exchange should be conducted at the convenience of travelling member (his place of stay or some other central point) as it is easier for hosts to move around than it is for a tourist :-)
