Display items at random (main page) according to day

This request is not important, it is just an improvement of “social awareness” of Numista (I do not know what to call it 😅).

The main page of Numista display some coins, banknotes and exonumia at random. On the other hand, the pages of coins, banknotes and exonuma have tags related to the subject or design of the item.

Why not use these tags and display the items at random based on the “topic of the day”? If a day has not a “topic of the day” the items to be chosen at random will all be, as now. The topic of the day must be an international topic, or know in many countries.

We've had a discussion about this before. It's tricky to do this without being political and Numista wishes to stay neutral. Your examples start with January 27, which is a day that the Muslim part world perceives different than the Christian/Jewish part of the world. There will be many more dates that have different meanings to different parts of the world, so I think we shouldn't engage in this.

Yes, of course. My idea is: If any world day is polemic, it is remove from the list. On the other hand, Numista would not display the name of the day.

I understand… This day can be seen from a more general point of view (really the day refers to all victims, not just Jews) and use #Human rights… or remove it.

Ok. That suggestion is about a specific case but Xavier responds in a general way, including my idea. 😢😅

I do not remove my suggestion so somebody can cancel it.
