The lettering style looks slightly different somehow - similar but different.

Or is it me, or my computer? Just asking.

I have same problem. It does not work with Firefox/Waterfox: it looks too thin (on Chrome/Edge/InternetExplorer it works).

These days I use an old PC running Windows 7 (it has not support, I know).

The main font of Numista was changed today or yesterday. Before was ‘source sans prohttps://en.numista.com/forum/topic64773.html

Now is ‘source sans 3’. I installed the new font and restart system but it does not work.

If I replace the name of the font in CSS with Firefox Page Inspector, it wotks.

I see no difference in fonts on my computer.

Generally, a client's browser settings would determine the font set used on websites, overriding the website fonts if set to do so. If fonts are suddenly appearing strangely on your computer, you may have a corrupted cache - I suggest you try clearing your cache and see if it fixes it.

Yes same here, at first I felt like I needed to wear glasses, then I reset my computer.

The font has changed indeed. It used to be Source Sans Pro v12. But the font doesn't work with Cyrillic Italic. So I updated to the newer version Source Sans 3. It's supposed to be the same font.

It looked quite bad yesterday morning (very fat characters) so I changed again yesterday noon, again using Source Sans 3 but in a different file format, and it somehow improved a bit. On my side, the characters are a bit fatter than before but actually more legible. I'm surprised you mention the new font is thinner: I see the opposite.

I cleaned the cache and temporary files of Firefox but it does not work.

I see this on Firefox:

If I modify the CSS code I see this:

Can be happen because my Firefox version is old (ESR 115.11.0)? These days I can not upgrade/use the current version because I am using an old PC.

Do you have a link to download the font source sans 3? I downloaded and installed it but maybe was a corrupt file.

Can this work in Cyrillic italic?

font-family: 'source sans pro','source sans 3',sans-serif,mongolian baiti,serif;

I believe I found a way to fix the letters too thin on old computers (which don't support variable fonts). And it actually also fixed the letters slightly too bold on my computer 😀

@davidhs , can you please confirm whether the issue is fixed for you?

Yes! Fixed on Firefox and Waterfox, and on the other work too.
