Is it possible to report a referee being unreasonable to the administrators? I have multiple catalogue edit requests for some banknotes that were denied even though they were helpful pictures of the banknote and it's features such as security thread inscription under backlight, colour-changing ink, iridescent stripe, holographic effect etc. The referee commented that detailed pictures of the note are not needed and I shouldn't be filling the pages up with those pictures. I believe that this referee is being unreasonable because I have made similar edits for banknotes with other referees than this specific one and they all validated my requests. I'm not going to say this referee's username out of respect for privacy.
I already did a couple times before but the appeal keeps going back to the same referee and gets re-denied from there? What else can I do?
That should not be. The appeal should go to a catalog admin. Having the same referee work the appeal is definitely not how the appeal system should work.
Sounds like it's for an issuer without a referee where requests already end up where appeals would end up too. But yes, the last ref that rejected a request should not have access to the appeal of the same request.
please send me a link to your request, so I can see what is happening. As rsirian1 said, appeals should go to me. However, there were changes made to the system recently, and although I have seen no errors so far, I cannot dismiss it outright.
Just beware, some referees don't want to process your requests anymore after you push something through with an admin that they rejected. Then you can look at your open requests for months while they process everything else.
Please appeal again. I have an option to send the request back to the referee, when I feel the requestor (you in this case) provided some additional information or explained his changes better.
