On two seperate occasions, I was trying to change the watermark picture to one of my pictures while editing banknote info. The file was able upload successfully, however, when I clicked the “modify data” button at the bottom, it gave me an error saying “The picture of the edge must be in JPEG format. (image/jpeg)”. The image was in JPEG format already and I made sure to check after seeing the error. I'm confused as to why it says edge picture when it is the watermark picture in question. I have retried submitting with the same image multiple times to no avail. Is there any fix to this?

Hello,

This error shows up when the file is not in JPEG format. This may happen even if the extension of the file is .jpg, since renaming a file from image.png to image.jpg will not convert the image format.

You may want to open the image in an image editing application and select to save as JPEG. You may also use online conversion tools such as https://convertio.co/fr/png-jpeg/

In case of doubt, feel free to post the image here so I can check further.

Thanks. I confirm this image is encoded in PNG format, even if it was renamed to look like a JPEG image.

Converting with https://convertio.co/fr/png-jpeg/ fixes that.

To convert with certain drawing software you must use “export” instead of  “Save as”
