What does the ex. After a mintage mean - let's say 7,450 ex.

Where did you see it? “ex” isn't in the list of abbreviations approved for use in Numista.

I don't think this issue is really solved. By the Guidelines ex. shouldn't be used in Numista, but Numista is adding it to listings when a value is placed in the Mintage field. It should either be add to the list of allowed abbreviations or not used.

The list of allowed abbreviations applies to fields that users can fill. This is a hardcoded value, so imho the list does not apply to this field.

Even if I accepted that argument, it's rude to use an abbreviation without defining it.

Rude? That’s a weird qualification. But there are more abbreviations on this website that are not in de guidelines: UTC, API, FAQ, max, px, kB. The thing is that those terms are not in places that users can change. They’re part of the website structure and I find it ridiculous to add them to the guidelines.

How is a new used supposed to understand those terms? Especially a non-English speaker. Several parts of the guidelines were designed to make listings easier for someone who isn't a native English speaker, and using acronyms without defining them isn't useful.
