This is a fantasy currency used in the world of Harry Potter.
Searching for “Gringotts Bank”, I found 8 objects in Numista with denominations of this currency in their sides (and I have an other, pending publish here):
1x Token (issuer: France)
5x Medals › Collection medallions (issuer: United Kingdom)
1x Medals › Fantasy coins (issuer: United Kingdom)
1x Banknote-like items › Fantasy banknotes (issuer: United Kingdom)
Note: All “coins” have been moved to Medals › Fantasy coins
These tokens/medals are classified into different types but I think they are fantasy coins (and one fantasy banknote).
Searching in Google I found the definition of the currency:

There are actually two new fantasy currencies to create, because Numista has objects issued in United Kingdom and in France.
- United Kingdom:
- Name:
(EN, local) Galleon
(FR) Gallion
(ES) Galeón - Subdivisions:
(EN) 1 Galleon = 17 Sickles • 1 Sickle = 29 Knuts
(FR) 1 gallion = 17 mornilles • 1 mornille = 29 noises
(ES) 1 galeón = 17 sickles • 1 sickle = 29 knuts - Denominations:
- Value = 1
(EN, local) 1 Galleon
(FR) 1 gallion
(ES) 1 galeón - Value = 1/17
(EN, local) 1 Sickle
(FR) 1 mornille
(ES) 1 sickle - Value = 1/493 (17 * 29 = 493)
(EN, local) 1 Knut
(FR) 1 noise
(ES) 1 knut
- Value = 1
- Name:
- France, the same with only one denomination (1 Galleon), because at this moment Numista only has one object from France.
