Corterra apparently existed as a micronation in Kiribati in the year 1974. The former Kingdom of Corallaland in North Pacific had become in 1974 the Republic of Corterra. The name would come from "Coral Land". The claimed area covers the southern and central groups of the greater Line Islands Group (which is geographically divided into Northern, Central and Southern groups).
Federal Republic of Corterra (proclaimed as an independent state in 1974 by Patrick D. Watters of Salt Lake City, Utah, USA) consists of several islands at the southern end of the Line Islands in the Pacific together with the islands of Malden, Starbuck, Caroline (Victoria), Vostok (Edwards), and Flint (Elizabeth). Its original name was the United Kingdom of Corralland. Corterra's creator claims to be establishing a real nation and is selling citizenship, banking licenses, etc. Its flag is a British Blue Ensign with 13 white stars.
