$400 for 70%? Why does it make me do math to calculate the value instead of just showing me a plain number?

Hello,
That's because we know the value of only 70% of your items. The value for the rest is unknown, so there is no simple calculation possible.
The remaining 30% could be worthless coins, so the total would be close to $400, or it may contain a single $3000 coin, which would bring the total to $3400.
Exactly, it is a guess and nothing more.
I disregard it, unless its a firm offer to pay the sum for the coins.
My estimate is in the low 6 figures, but then again my collection has nearly 90 grand (NZ Dollars) of precious metal alone, before the numismatic value kicks in.

That makes sense, but what is the estimate section for?
To give you a rough oversight over the value of your collection (take the Numista values as what every you want).
‘My value’ is what you have actually paid for it, and the ‘estimate’ is what the available values on Numista for type and grade add up to.
Mine are at 7% and 91% respectively, many of the 7% are not included in the 91% because they are more expensive/uncommon items and as such more often then not have no Numista value yet. So I have a +/- ball park of my collection value.

Honestly, you shouldn't use that to see your collection's worth, many, if not most of the values are from old catalogues and are no longer accurate.

They're not based on old catalogs. They're based on current values in Numista.
The thing is that alot of the coins and banknotes have values way different to how much they are actually being sold for.
Check this banknote for example, a G/VG is about 6-8$ in reality.

vs. the $4.90 in Numista for F? I wouldn't call that “way different.” Regardless, of course there are some values in Numista that aren't in line with current actual values. That's to be expected when there are literally millions of values generated by Numista. I wouldn't use that argument to say the Numista generated Estimate is worthless.
Also, some members use the Undetermined year line which obviously has no Numista generated values.
Can you find this banknote for 1$ in F?
At the same time, most rare coins/banknotes have no value at all. Wich drags the collection value down by alot.

I already agreed with you that there are some values totally out of line with reality. I think they‘re a very small percentage of the total. As for the rare coins without a value, I’m sure you understand why. If the Estimate value doesn’t work for you ignore it. I think it is very useful for my non-exotic collection.
I don't really understand that either. The value for 27% of my collection is 137 482 SEK (12 327.61 USD), but the estimate value for 93% of my collection is 105 554 SEK (9 460.73 USD). How can the estimate of 93% of my collection be worth less than 27% of my collection? 🤷♂️
Simple, 7% of them are the more valuable and as such less likely owned and less likely with a value added items and for the rest (20%) you might have paid more then the average (or not, depending on the value of the 7%).
In my case I have 7% (buying values that I added) that are nearly half the value of my 91% with nearly non of 7% coins having a Numista value.

Oh, so the My values is based on the price I have added that I paid for it, and the Estimate is value taken from the corresponding Numista date line? But, I have added values to more than 27% of my collection … I think …
I don't know how you can check. Probably possible if you can export manually entered values and Numista's automatic values then do some calculation of cell numbers in a spreadsheet program.
