Many coins have a coat of arms, and the guidelines say nothing about when use this tag. This creates indecision among the contributors when they modifying coins with coat of arms.

I found these problems:

  • Some referees only accept this tag if the coat of arms is not used in those years by the issuer, but other referees always accept this tag.
  • According https://en.numista.com/help/tags-133.html and https://en.numista.com/forum/topic142249.html the tags about devices of a coat of arms must not added, but there are referees that do not remove them (a while ago, I modified a coin by removing devices tags and adding the coat of arms tag, and the referee kept the coat of arms and devices; in that moment I did not keep in mind the guidelines; I do not remember either the referee or the coin).

I think these issues should be made clearer in the guidelines, avoiding inconsistencies in the catalogue.

Wanted & swap list (euro coins & world coins, exonumia and banknotes circulated) https://goo.gl/AQjfKp - I have euro & world CC coins for swap.

I would find it useful especially in the case of medieval European coat of arms to have the tags of heraldic animals etc. because they are often not described in text form and I usually have no idea from where the arms are. So hypothetical something like arms of so-and-so on the left and arms of there-and-such on the right are not that helpful, when I only see one has a bird and the other a lion (Bird and Cat tag).
