Percentage of completed series

Dear Numista-team,

First and foremost, I would like to express my appreciation for the excellent platform you’ve built for coin collectors worldwide. It’s an invaluable resource.

I have a suggestion that I believe could enhance the user experience on Numista: the addition of a feature that displays the percentage of completed series in the dashboard. This feature would provide users with a clear and motivating overview of their progress in completing various coin series, encouraging engagement and collection growth.

For example, alongside the current dashboard information, there could be a section or indicator showing progress for each series in the user’s collection. This could be displayed as a percentage or through visual progress bars. One with and without the essais or proofs.

Thank you for considering this suggestion. I believe it would add significant value to the Numista platform, and I would be happy to provide further input or feedback if needed

I collect all European coins, so I guess there are hundreds or even over a thousand different series …

Also, with series, do you mean the Numista series? There are still very many coins series to be created (over 6000 already present).

And how should my dashboard know that I even want to collect the whole series? Maybe I just want 1 type from a bigger series … and some people want to collect all dates and mints of every type.

Sounds a bit more complicated than what you make it look like ;-)

Actually, it’s quite simple. Take this series as an example: N#700. Numista already shows a double green checkmark when you have registered all the coins in a series. This double checkmark represents full completion.

You could consider giving this feature a place on the dashboard. Even better would be to display a percentage. For example, if you’re missing one coin from this series, it would show 75% completion.

All this to keep it simple at first.

By the way, nice goal, all European coins 😅

Ok, so you mean to complete all yearlines of a type … not my goal, one per type is good enough … I don't need 30 of these N#1

Skipping proofs in a list is not possible at this time.
