Hi, i have an Isle of Man coin, but other than that i have no idea. Based on how it's raised up on the back, it doesn't appear to match anything on here, any ideas what it could be?
I do think i can see a D in between the legs (oh gosh, that sentence…) which would make it one of the 1733 types and not one one of the earlier ones.
And the eagle is portrayed bigger on the halfpennies so i think its a penny (just crosscheck the diameter, should be 28mm)
Idk how to differentiate Copper and Bronze though :/
There you go :)
Hope that helped.
That's amazing thank you, yes I've just measured it at 28mm and it weighs exactly 8.355g but given the amount it has lost to corrosion, pretty hard to gauge which one it might be, from appearance I'd go for copper over bronze.
