How on earth did this get created -

https://en.numista.com/catalogue/mint.php?id=2893

Mint: Ludwig Christian Lauer, Nuremberg, Germany

Yes it is a Mint, but also includes a Designer name.

It must be deleted to stop future use, after transferring all to

Mint: Nuremberg, Germany

 Thanks

P.S. now wondering how many more like that.

Token collector [1600-1899] with some coins

 Here is the Mint page

https://en.numista.com/catalogue/mints.php

with a map at the top then a very long list.

Before the list can a Search not be added to find a particular Mint?

Correct would be creation of the mint

"Nürnberger Medaillenmünze" opened in 1790 by Ernst Ludwig Siegmund Lauer.

Ludwig Christoph Lauer the later owner then renamed the mint company in "Münzprägeanstalt L.Chr.Lauer" in 1860

 Apart from all that

is the original query and it still exists.

WHY is an engraver in the mint name?

Whether it be transferred to a new page or that in my earlier link,

the error is still there. Surely?!

It's a private mint that has nothing to do with the official coins. The same way we have private printers that are named after their founders/owners.

But with the later established name 'Nürnberger Medaillenmünze' this should be preferable as a name.

I guess it's because the word “mint” in german was removed in the past to clean the mint name;
I put “Münzprägeanstalt L.Chr.Lauer” if it pleases you better

Thanks, and was already about to suggest just adding Mint after the title on that page.

Then wondering if someone has a Nuremberg jeton where to put it? Is there some difference?
