I'm just going through some Swedish coins and added this variety to my collection..

I have 1 where the 3 touches the 4,  and another where the 3 is far from the 4...

Maybe nice info for other variety collectors.. as it is a big difference in my opinion.. 😇

Love it.  Nice coins!

Hi,

I don't have that one, let's see if @ngdawa can find it in his Swedish catalog? At least it needs to be mentioned in the comments section and it ought to be included in the year line as “two different ”43" found, see comments".

Let's wait for a feed-back from Sverige.

I will check my book, but doubt it will be mentioned. I had a bunch of 1969 25 öre coins where I found at least 8 varieties each of the 6 and the 9, the distance between them, etc. None variety was mentioned anywhere, so I wouldn't hold my breath for the variety, but of course I'll check! ☺️

Hi Ngdawa,

I would be surprised as well, Numista is normally NOT considering those different dates as variants, but some local catalogs do.

Thanks for taking the time

could find 14 coins of this year and the close variant seems to be more common (12:2)

Sorry, I meant that none of the varieties were listed in the catalogue.

I have changed the graphic

Thanks Stephan,

I would have thought it was the opposite, since my only coin, was the far!

I have checked the catalogue, but nothing about far/close 3. Might be due to circulation, but I have no clue. Sorry!

Thanks for you effort.

It's more like the usual thing, the mother die with 194 and the production dies would get the last year number punched by hand, thus the different positions.

I'm trying to document the same thing for the 1945 ett öre.

To avoid the discussion of  “normal” versus “variant” I have modified the graphic like this (no mention of populations of the two):
