Origin Story and Org Structure of Numista?

Hi all - I'm sure this must exist and be out there in a FAQ or a series of forum posts, but I can't seem to find it………is there an overview somewhere of the ‘history’ of Numista (how it got started and by whom, etc)?    

Also just curious how it's structured now - is it a for-profit enterprise? A non-profit collective?

(Curious about the latter mainly in terms of continuity plans - seen so many great privately held web resources over the last 30 years wither away when key players have passed)
