Hi
Lets say one cubic meter of aluminium weighs approximately 2,700 kg. So a token like this one N#158160 with diameter of 22,1 mm and thickness of 1,5 mm should weigh how much? We get around 575 mm3 from given size, which is somewhere around 1,55 g (but definitely not 24.7 g).

Numista should have a table with approximate weights of metals per cubic unit. This is a foundation for calculation of possible errors. Lets say that an average home scale have relevant interval value of at least 0,1 gram. This is pretty good enough for the needs on Numista. So if the calculation drops over ± 30 % of expected weight this automatically falls in the range of obvious weight error.
It would be prudent to have such tool already at the point of making a new request where Numista should send out msgbox with notification on possible error while also asking user to RE-CHECK his/hers entry.
How to deal with errors already added, I let that to the brass to decide. Definitely should be added to https://en.numista.com/catalogue/corrections/index.php or https://en.numista.com/catalogue/contributions/suggestions.php page within new section “Change possible erroneous weights”.
