fake?

What year on coin? I can't find this coin by this year. It's fake coin?

The year is 1920 (year 9) but for starters you should always give pictures of both sides (the denomination is on the other side) and dimensions (weight, diameter,…)

Your (half) correct, it's not year 9. At first sight 元 looked like 九 (9) but I was wrong. But it isn't year 1 either, then their should be 年一. 元 could indeed mean first (but also Yuan) but first is not the same as one.

True first is not the same as one but other coins of this time period used 年元 for first year rather than 年一 such as this one: N#58178 with the comment The character to indicate the year 1912 is 元 (first) rather than 一 (one).

Thank  you very much for the info rsirian1, I didn't know that. I haven't added my Chinese coins to the database yet, otherwise I could have (maybe) noticed this.
