Too many requests

Hi. I used to look at coins on Numista as a pastime while I have to wait for something, but in the last weeks, after entering on a few coins, the coins pictures won't load (at enlarging) and I receive a message that too many requests were detected. Not too mention that I have to pass through a pesky captcha check almost everytime I change a page. Can it be changed that too many requests shall be in the range of thousands, not 10-20? I just want to look at coins, sometimes for hours if I don't have anything else to do.

The captcha is unfortunate. I think it has been put in place to combat AI bots from large scale scavenging of  the website, and draining its resources and ability to serve pages to legitimate visitors.

Do you also use a VPN? I at least only have to click a box but when editing the catalog I often have to open another tab to verify that I am human to get access to certain drop down menus, picture upload or to send the change request.

Is this the reason my requests to change 3 Tongan coins and add a medal to Exonumia have not been actioned 3 weeks after I submitted them, are the mods on holiday or something.

Nope.

Fyi, I only get the captcha when I select one of my bookmarks to load all the banknotes of a country. The captcha only happens once or twice per log-in.
