Pubblicazioni di 6 • visto 84 volte

I've come across this strange note -

issuer Government of India

Denomination 100 Kyats

“Calcutta” is printed on Obverse (top, centre)

“CD Deshmukh” obv bottom right

couldn't find this listed anywhere

pls help

No idea but it's based on or a manipulated version of this:
N#219396

yes thanks

that's what I worked out too

but need help to find more details before attempting to add to catalog

Have not seen that one before. odd that its Government of India but has General Aung San on the obverse. His issued banknotes were from 1958 a decade after independence… we'd need more experts to determine if it was genuine.

BURMA

This is interesting and I won't rule this out as fake. Please read here

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/C._D._Deshmukh

Section under ‘At the Reserve Bank of India’. C.D. Deshmukh was the Governor of Reserve Bank of India, may have once had something to do with the Central Banks of Burma.
