Why do the Jamaican banknotes references are shown like this?

All variants listed and sme with etc and numbers in brackets??? Who tought this is a good idea?

These bracket ones are unofficial and should not be used. Whenever I stumble upon some I make a change request to remove them. You can have some kind of comment but don't make up reference numbers that don't exists. Made one for the S139 too.

If you mean the P#Xa, Xb ; Ya-Yd those are summarised year line references. When no main reference is listed those will be shown. But for variants I personally would keep the main reference up P#X or P#Y (but that is a question of preference and not stated in the guidelines I believe).

The keep the summary up makes more sense for references like Bla#101-105; 108-115 or Blub#001-115 I think.

Hello, Alexis. I have already prepared this "problem" in some other records.

This happens when the reference information that is in the main part of the record is removed from the record. This way, the system brings the information contained in the variant/year lines.

In my opinion, this is not a good idea. Having the main reference (for example, P#37) and the subreferences in the lines (P#37a, P#37b, ...) is better.

I have already mentioned this to Jarcek, but this is still happening in some records.

Xavier in a post earlier this year (can't find it right now), mentioned that when using the year lines for references you should delete the main one in the top section, so all are listed in the blue box. With Krause for banknotes not being updated in so long, people have started to fill the gaps that have now erupted. Makes it a pretty rubbish system to use now. The banknote book is a much better resource now: The Banknote Book: World Paper Money Pricing & Values | Greysheet

Now we have all of this P#37a, 37b or P#37a-37b or P#37a, 37b, etc, or even worse P#37a (1), P#37a (2). Why not use the main one for reference P#37 and u have all the variants listed in the year lines like we did before if this is some kind of bug?

You do realise there is a world without Krause numbering…

And what does this have to do with what I said?
