I have one of these in a box weith Royal Mint printed on the inside lid.
The card that comes with it says £2 proof .925 silver; £2 uncirculated .500 silver.
How can i tell which it is?

It's a common question when the size and weight are the same. In this case the proof would have a cameo appearance where the devices are a matte finish and the field is a mirror like finish like this:
A BU finish wouldn't have this type finish. I would say yours is a BU one although sometimes it's harder to tell from pictures. There are ways to measure the silver content directly or indirectly if you're unsure.
