I am not sure if this is a bug, or I am doing something wrong.

I added and corrected information for N#209951 banknote page, also moved catalog codes to new fields, and added missing ones, but when I click submit, it gives me error messages. Following are screenshots of what I got and what I have modified. I even tried to fix by retyping all the codes again, but with same results.

Just 10 options: you understand binary, or you don't.
Catalog Referee Coins, Banknotes & Exonumia: Uruguay, Cuba, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Peru, Paraguay, Costa Rica, Venezuela, Panama, Ecuador, Zamunda, Parva Domus and more.

Probably all that stuff ('bbcv') before the number gets interpreted as something like P#104 and it expects 104 spitting out that warning.

But TBH what is that cataloging system supposed to be? 😅 NCV# bbcv1bs-aa

Looks to me like somebody just used some inventory codes instead of a real numbering system.

I don't think “bbcv” will be interpreted as catalog name, most possible is it should include the “#” also to be interpreted as the cat. name. Also there is BBB, BBK and BBM catalogs, but no BBCV nor BBC. And as your theory, no code would start with “P” on risk go be considered as cat, name.

IMO, the cataloging system may be described as “descriptive”; “bbcv10000bs-ba01” obviously is formed by “b”=banknotes; “vcb”= banco Central de Venezuela; “10000bs”= 10 000 Bolivars; and then different letters/numbers for different issues. I agree it makes a long coding, but is their creation. On the other hand, these codes already were used on other notes, so, unless something have been changed lately on Numista program, should not be a problem.

See screenshot, from where I copied some of the codes:

It's a hierarchical code. bbcv is for Banco Central de Venezuela,  1bs is for the 1 Bolivar denomination in the Bolivar currency, the first a indicates it is the first design for that denomination in that currency, and the second a indicates it is the first type to use that design. And then the code goes on to specify years, variations within years, and the strike of the coin. bbcv1bs-aa01s is a specimen note, bbcv1bs-aa01-a8 is an note with a serial number starting with A followed by 8 digits.

Hello,

We had a bug, which hid the references that triggered the error (a reference number was provided but no reference catalogue). This is now fixed.

Thank you very much, this is working fine now.
