Friends,
In the Numista catalog, you can already add official coin sets from state mints. I suggest taking the next step—add the ability to enter bank coin rolls.
This concerns both standard rolls of circulating coins and rolls of circulating commemorative coins—in regular and souvenir packaging.
For example, in Ukraine, the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) issues circulating commemorative coins with a face value of 10 hryvnias, which are distributed not only in sets or individually, but also in rolls. In this case:
- the mintage of individual coins is formed both in standard rolls and in rolls in souvenir packaging;
- the number of coins in regular and souvenir rolls differs (40 and 25 pieces respectively);
- the official mintage of rolls in souvenir packaging is known, which makes them a separate object for cataloging.
A specific example: on the coin page "The National Guard of Ukraine", in the comments it states: "Among 10 000 000 coins, 500 000 are distributed in 20 000 rolls with 25 coins in each." This illustrates how such information is currently hidden in comments rather than displayed as a separate option. Implementing the function will allow collectors to add coins at their choice: individually, in a standard roll of 40 pieces, or in a souvenir one of 25 pieces, with corresponding mintages.
Implementing such a function will allow for more accurate representation of different release formats and fuller planning of collections. This is especially relevant for collectors who focus on packaging variants.
