Hello everyone!
Continuing this forum, I've done a study on Malawi's banknote issues and I have a slightly different opinion regarding this request.
Banknotes P#37 and P#38 have two distinct characteristics compared to the others (P#43, P#44, P#51, P#52):
1. The watermark only has Chilembwe's portrait;
2. The serial number in the lower right corner has digits of the same size.
In the other issues, we have:
1. The watermark has, in addition to the portrait, the monetary value of the banknote in electrotype.
2. The serial number in the lower right corner has digits of ascending size.
I noticed that the Banknote Book also has a specific code for P#37 (TBB#137) and P#38 (P#138). For the others, P#43 and P#51, we have TBB#142 for both; and P#44/P#52, we have TBB#143 for both.
In summary, I think we could do it like this:
- Leave banknotes P#37 (TBB#137) and P#38 (TBB#138) on their own pages;
- Merge the following banknotes onto a single page: P#43/P#51 (TBB#142) ; P#44/P#52 (TBB#143) ; P#45/P#53 (TBB#144) ; P#46/P#54 (TBB#145) ; P#47/P#55 (TBB#146) ; P#48/P#56 (TBB#148).
We'll wait a few more days for the opinion of some fellow users of the site to try and reach a verdict on this case. =)
Regards,
Vladimir.
