Hello there Mr. Xavier and dedicated Numista team!

Greetings to all members too!

Is it possible for us to see in the near future a sister website to Numista (or even a section/segment) focused solely in stamp collecting/collectors?

That would be “revolutionary” and an assured instant success considering all current (poor) available online options for philatelists in order for them to efficiently manage their collections, seek swap partners, link wishlists to each other, &c.

I'd like to know your opinions about that.

Thank you for you time!

Happy New Year and have a wonderful 2026!

Cheers!

Gus.

Best regards, GuGa

If you search the forums, you'll find that Mr. Xavier has repeated over and over that there are no plans to create a section for stamps, nor will there ever be.

They say "Pecunia non olet", but I know better...

To quote Xavier:

"No. Numista is only about numismatics."

"I'm not interested to expand Numista beyond numismatics (in the broad sense of the term, including coins, banknotes, medals, tokens, etc.)"

“Numista is the right place to discuss about coins and related fields (tokens, banknotes), but there will be no forum for stamps.”

"Hello,

I have no interest in adding mail stamps to Numista or creating another site for stamps."

Fully understand and sympathise with the emphatic ‘No’.

However, it seems to me that this is a regular question, which indicates there is a huge apatite for such a ‘sister’ website.  Maybe it's time to look for a partner, or even a franchisee, to look into developing the idea further as a business opportunity.

That's what I really tried to write.

It doesn't need to be directly linked to Numista or its forum whatsoever…

Thanks LDC63 for summarizing it all!

As long as somebody else does it for you.  Why don't you do it yourself?  Have you tried Colnect?

I think it's fair to say that not everyone has the skills or the time to set up a new website.

No, of course not. You're absolutely correct.  And those that do may not have the subject knowledge or the time or the interest or the desire to do it in “the near future.”
